Press-on nails: wear and removal checklist

1. Before you apply

• Wash and dry your hands. Gently push back your cuticles with the cuticle stick.
• Size each nail first: place the press-ons on your fingers and pick the size that suits each natural nail best, with no gaps and no pressure on the sides. Find your size →
• Gently file the surface of your natural nails with the nail file.
• Wipe each nail with the alcohol pad and let it dry fully.
• Liquid glue: Apply nail glue to your natural nail.
• Adhesive tabs: Choose the adhesive tab that best fits each nail and place it on your natural nail.
• Hold the press-on at a 45° angle to the base of your nail, then press it down to the tip.
• Keep pressing for about 90 seconds so it bonds well.

Apply only to clean, fully dry, healthy nails.

2. While you wear them

Liquid glue: With liquid glue, a set can last up to 2 weeks. How long yours lasts depends on your prep, a good size match and daily use.

Adhesive tabs: How long tabs hold depends on your prep, a good size match and daily use.

Remove your press-ons promptly if a nail lifts, moisture gets underneath, or you notice discomfort or discoloration. Do not glue over a lifted or damp nail.

3. Taking them off

• Liquid glue: Soak your nails in warm water for about 15 minutes, or until the glue loosens.
• Adhesive tabs: Soak your nails in warm water for about 15 minutes, or until the tabs loosen.
• Use the cuticle stick to gently lift each press-on. If it does not come away easily, soak again. Never pull or pry.
• Liquid glue: Gently file away any glue left on your natural nails.
• Adhesive tabs: Gently file away any adhesive left on your natural nails.
• Wash your hands gently and dry them well.
