Both have a degree of flexibility compared to hard acrylic, but they are applied differently, removed differently, and serve different purposes. Press-ons can be removed and reapplied; cured gel polish must be soaked or filed off.
How do I remove soft gel press-ons without damaging my nails?
Soak your fingertips in warm water for several minutes to soften the adhesive bond before attempting removal. Once the adhesive loosens, slide a cuticle stick gently under the edge and work it toward the free edge — do not lever from the tip or peel directly, as that risks thinning the natural nail surface over time.
