About Round Press-On Nails

Round soft gel press-on nails follow the natural curve of the fingertip tightly, keeping a short, circular edge that is the closest thing to a polished natural nail without any length. If your nail beds are short, wide, or you work with your hands all day, round is the shape that disappears into everyday life — no corners, no point, nothing to catch. The soft gel material gives each nail a slight flex rather than a rigid plastic feel. Sets come with 32 nails in 16 sizes, so you can match across fingers before applying. Glue keeps them up to two weeks.

Round vs Oval

Round is shorter and more circular, staying tightly at the fingertip. Oval has a slightly elongated, fuller tip that gives a more refined silhouette at the same base width. Round is the more natural-looking option; oval leans a little dressier.

Round vs Square

Round removes all corners, which means no snagging and a softer look overall. Square has a flat, straight edge with defined corners, which reads bolder and more graphic.

How to apply
  • Clean and dry each nail and push back the cuticles.
  • Match each nail to its closest size before applying.
  • Apply nail glue for up to 2 weeks of wear with proper prep.
  • Press firmly from cuticle to tip for 30 seconds; avoid water for the first 2 hours.
How to remove without damage
  • Soak in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes to soften the adhesive.
  • Gently lift from one side — never force or peel.
  • Buff away any residue and moisturize.
How long they last
  • Up to 2 weeks with nail glue and proper prep.
  • Reusable when removed gently and stored in the case.
  • Wear time varies by prep, adhesive choice, and daily use.

Why choose SHANGMENG®

Most press-ons give themselves away at the edges: a tip too narrow for your nail bed lifts, and then it looks like a press-on. So every SHANGMENG® set comes with 32 nails in 16 sizes, enough to find a close match for wide, flat, or narrow nails on all ten fingers. The nails are soft gel. We have made nails in our own factory for twenty years and sell them direct, which is why a full set costs what it does. Pick any 5 and the lowest-priced set is free at checkout, no code needed, and it stacks with either 10% offer. If something is wrong on our end (defective, damaged, wrong item, or lost) you choose: a free replacement, or a refund of what you actually paid for it.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a round nail shape different from oval?
Round is shorter and closely mirrors a naturally circular fingertip. Oval has a slightly longer, more tapered arc, giving a more elongated appearance. Round looks more natural; oval leans slightly more elegant.
Is round the right shape if my natural nails are very short?
Yes. Round is the shape that most closely mimics a short, clean natural nail. The low profile means they do not look dramatically longer than what you started with.
Do round press-on nails work for wide nail beds?
Round can work well on wider nail beds because the curved edge does not emphasize width the way a flat square tip can. The 32 nails in 16 sizes also gives you a width-matched fit rather than a generic stretch.
Why are these called soft gel and not acrylic?
Soft gel press-ons use a gel-based material that has slight flex, which is what gives them a less rigid, more natural feel on the nail. They are not drilled or cured on your nail — they are adhesive-applied and removable.
Does the round shape hold its curve after soaking off adhesive?
Yes. The circular edge of a round press-on is part of the nail's molded form, not a painted-on detail, so soaking to remove glue or tabs does not alter the shape. The curve looks the same for the next wear.
